What
are services like at Calvary
Chapel Ontario?
Above
all else, they are centered in
and around the Word of
God. We teach verse by
verse through the Bible,
beginning in Genesis right
through to Revelation, then start
over
again.
Our
Sunday morning and Wednesday
evening services always begin
with prayer and then an uplifting
time of worshipping God through
music and
singing. Calvary
Chapel Ontario is blessed with
some very talented worship
leaders who lead the fellowship
in singing songs of praise to
God. Two giant
projector screens with the lyrics
make it easy to follow along,
even if you're not familiar with
the music.
Following
worship, Pastor Paul LeBoutillier
teaches the Word of God, picking
up right were he left off the
previous
week. Occasionally, as
the Spirit directs, Paul will
share a topical teaching as
well. Years of
previous teachings are available
online at the links to your left
in the Audio Center. You
can also view the most current
Sunday and Wednesday teachings in
the Video Center.
Services
are roughly an hour long, with an
opportunity to meet with Pastor
Paul or other ministry staff
following the services for
individual prayer.
We
consider ourselves a "come as you
are" church. Worship
is not about the clothes we wear
or the way we
look. Dress however
you feel most comfortable. And
speaking of being comfortable,
our goal is to make sure those
visiting our fellowship are never
made to feel out-of-place. You
can come and visit Calvary Chapel
and rest assured that we will
never embarrass you. We simply
want you to feel warmly welcomed,
and ultimately fed and challenged
by the teaching of God's Word.
Paul
teaches from the New
International Version of the
Bible, with copies always
available for your use at the
information desk just inside the
entrance to the Auditorium. Feel
free to bring whatever version
you are comfortable with if you
like.
There
are ushers at the front entrance
to help you get seated and answer
any questions you may have. Also,
be sure to pick up our Ministry
Info pamphlet at our Information
Booth or in the bookstore. It's
designed specifically to answer
questions you may have about
Calvary Chapel Ontario, our
services, ministries, and our
Calvary Chapel
Distinctives.
We
take communion on the first
Sunday of the month in Sunday
services, and the last Wednesday
of each month during our
Wednesday night service. If you
are unsure of what communion is
all about, or whether or not you
should participate, listen to
Pastor Paul's teaching on
communion from Psalm
2,
Psalm
13,
Psalm
32,
or Isaiah
53.
Immediately
following each service, a free
audio CD of that day's teaching
is available in the bookstore.
Feel free to pick these up for
friends, family, or for your own
use.
