Recently had a Prayer Positions Chart emailed to me and was surprised at how many there were. Does the Bible mention Prayer Positions??
Sure, the Bible mentions positions that people assumed while in prayer, but never so as to say that any one position or combination of positions are the "accepted" ones when approaching God. In the Bible people pray while standing, sitting, lying down, walking, kneeling--you name it!
Be careful of any group or individual who tells you that there are some positions or postures for prayer that are either more acceptable or more effective. This is pure nonsense. Believers ought to assume whatever posture or positions for prayer that work the best for opening their heart to the Lord.
